Gal Friday: Marlene Dietrich
Today's Gal Friday is Marlene Dietrich.
Marlene was a German-American actress and singer, starting in many stage productions and silent films during the 1920s. She then went on to star in "The Blue Angel" as Lola-Lola - which shot her to international fame and landed her a contract with Paramount Pictures in the 1930s.
With her exotic glamour and singing ability, Marlene was featured in many Hollywood films, and she became the highest paid actress of the era. She is known for the song "Falling In Love Again".

Gal Friday: Betty Brosmer
This week's Gal Friday is Betty Brosmer, a 50's pin up gal known for her hourglass figure (her measurements were 38-18-36). With her freakishly tiny waist in proportion to the rest of her body, she was one of the first true supermodels, being the highest paid model in the 50's.
She appeared on hundreds of magazine covers, calendars and advertisements in the 1950s and had won over 50 beauty contests by the time she turned 20!

Thoughtful Thursday: Marilyn Monroe
This quote from Marilyn Monroe really struck a chord with me. What do you think? Do you agree with Marilyn? Do things in your life happen for a reason? Have good things in your life fallen apart, only to be replaced by something better?

Inspiration From The Past: Marilyn Monroe

Our Huge Shop Makeover - Part 2
Mink Schmink Shop Makeover, a set on Flickr.
The 3 days it took to complete the makeover went so quickly! To see the pictures from before the makeover and then compare them to now, leaves me amazed and speechless.
Take a look at these pics to see the transformation - what do you think?
I love it all, but my favourite part of it all is the artwork on the wall of Eartha Kitt with a tiger - painted by the talented Jane Evans.
A big thank you to everyone that came and helped with the makeover - every bit was appreciated!
